FAR-2xx7 : Radar Shut Down

Please follow the below steps to assist with diagnosing the cause of your FAR-2xx7 Radar Shut Down issue

1) Isolate Radar from External Power Supply. Please ensure the system is safe to work on before proceeding with the next steps.
If any doubts, please stop and contact your local Furuno Agent.
2) Open RPU-013. Remove 4 x screws holding top cover in place. Slide cover off RPU.
You can now open the Processor door to expose the power connections.
3) Locate the HV PCB in the top right hand corner of the exposed area.
Please disconnect the HV Output (Single Brown Cable).
This connection is shown in the below image highlighted in RED.
4) Close the RPU-013 and make safe.
5) Restore external power supply to the RPU-013
Does the Radar now Power On?

Please leave the HV Output disconnected and arrange a service attendance with a trained/experienced engineer.
Most Common Parts Likely to be needed for a fault of this kind :
- 03P9244 MD PCB (Check which particular Type is needed based on Radar Type 12kw/25kw/35kw)
- Magnetron
- 03P9017 HV PCB (Just in case)
1) Isolate Radar from External Power Supply. Please ensure the system is safe to work on before proceeding with the next steps.
If any doubts, please stop and contact your local Furuno Agent.
2) Re-Open RPU-013 as per the previous check.
3) Locate the HV PCB in the top right hand corner of the exposed area.
Please disconnect the HV Input supply.
This connection is shown in the below image highlighted in RED.
4) Close the RPU-013 and make safe.
5) Restore external power supply to the RPU-013

Please leave the HV Input disconnected and arrange a service attendance with a trained/experienced engineer.
Most Common Parts Likely to be needed for a fault of this kind :
- 03P9017 HV PCB (A Type if 12kw version / B Type if 25kw/35kw version)
The issue may be more involved, however this part will need to be replaced first.
Please isolate the system from external power and arrange a service attendance with a trained/experienced engineer.
Most Common Parts Likely to be needed for a fault of this kind :
- 03P9339 PWR PCB (Check which particular Type is needed based on External Power Supply AC or DC)
- 03P9017 HV PCB (Just in case)
